What can we do for you? We can save you a bundle on your current shipping / freight charges. As your freight agent, we work to find you the best possible rates for your loads. You’ll deal directly with pre-approved carriers, thereby eliminating the middle man and saving you a substantial amount on every load.
How do we do it? The process is quite simple. You send us the load information along with a pickup/delivery date, and the best quoted rate you have. We post the load for carriers looking for backhauls at a lower price than the quoted rate. Once we find a carrier that agrees to haul the load at our price, we validate their company information as well as their insurance certificates and other pertinent documents. We send them the contract, which they sign and fax back, which we then forward to you. They then call you directly to arrange for pickup instructions.
Who pays who? Once the load is delivered, the carrier will bill you directly for the shipping charges agreed to on the contract. We will bill you for 50% of the savings based on your original quote. Basically, we split the difference. We earn the equivalent of what you save on every load.
What are the advantages? Aside from saving a substantial amount on freight, you eliminate the middle man, thereby protecting yourself from a scenario where the broker withholds the carriers payment (in which case the shipper is responsible by law). Furthermore, most of the carriers willing to haul freight at reduced rates are typically on backhauls, so they are in a hurry to get back to their point of origin. Using a freight agent is a win/win situation for the shipper, agent, and carrier.
What if we can’t find a truck? No problem. You give us a cutoff time. If we can’t find a truck by the cutoff time, we’ll let you know and you can book your load with your regular broker or carrier. As we only charge for booked loads, you don’t assume any risk by contacting us first.
